Custom Blazer Manufacturer India — Corporate, School & Hotel Blazers for USA & Dubai
A well-fitted blazer does more than dress a team — it signals authority, unity and brand identity in a single garment. Whether you're outfitting 50 hotel front-desk staff in Dubai or 200 corporate executives across the US, the challenge is the same: right quality, right cut, right branding at a price that makes commercial sense.
India — and Tirupur in particular — has become the go-to source for custom blazer manufacturing at scale. This guide explains why, and what to expect at every step from enquiry to delivery.
Types of Blazers We Manufacture
Not all blazers are made the same way. Understanding the category helps you specify correctly from the start.
Corporate Blazers
The highest-volume export category. Corporate blazers are typically single-breasted, two-button, with a chest patch pocket and side welt pockets. They carry company colours and a logo on the left chest via embroidery. Poly-viscose fabric is standard — wrinkle-resistant in air-conditioned offices and travels well on business trips.
US buyers typically order in Navy, Charcoal, Black or branded Pantone colours. Custom satin or printed lining with the company logo is a popular add-on that costs very little extra at volume.
School Blazers
School blazers are among the most technically demanding uniform items. They need to be durable (worn daily), easy to launder, and hold school crests and embroidery accurately year after year. Most are manufactured in poly-viscose or poly-wool blends, with school colours delivered through the fabric itself or through piping, lining and badge placement.
Hotel & Hospitality Blazers
Hotel blazers are a statement garment worn for extended shifts in lobbies that can swing between air-conditioned and warm. In Dubai and the UAE, where outdoor temperatures regularly exceed 40°C, fabric choice is critical. Most UAE hospitality buyers specify cotton-linen blends for outdoor-facing roles and lightweight poly-viscose with breathable mesh lining for indoor staff.
Event & Promotional Blazers
Conference hosts, trade show teams and brand ambassadors frequently need branded blazers for short-term use. These are typically lighter-weight poly with full-colour custom lining and large chest embroidery. Production is fast and turnaround is the quickest of any category.
Blazer Construction: Fused, Half-Canvas, Full-Canvas
Construction grade is the single biggest variable in blazer pricing and longevity.
| Grade | Construction | Best For | FOB Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fused | Interlining heat-bonded to outer fabric | Event, promo, budget corporate | $18–$35 / pc |
| Half-Canvas | Canvas chest piece, fused waist down | Corporate, hotel, school uniforms | $30–$55 / pc |
| Full-Canvas | Floating canvas through full body | Premium executive, luxury hotel | $55–$90 / pc |
Fused blazers are the most economical and fastest to produce. Right for event staff or short-season use. Half-canvas is the sweet spot for bulk institutional orders — the canvas chest piece moulds to the wearer's body over time. Full-canvas is the gold standard for luxury hotel front-of-house and C-suite uniforms.
Fabric Guide
Poly-Viscose (220–280 GSM) — Most Popular
The workhorse of the corporate uniform industry. Wrinkle-resistant, colorfast, easy to care for, holds structure well through daily wear. The 55/45 poly-viscose ratio is most common. Lighter 220 GSM works in warmer climates; 260–280 GSM is preferred for US and European markets.
Wool-Blend (260–320 GSM) — Premium Corporate
Delivers the drape of wool with the durability of poly. Popular with US financial services and law firms that need executive blazers with a sharp, authoritative finish.
Cotton-Linen (180–220 GSM) — Dubai & Warm Climates
For UAE hospitality, outdoor event staff and warm-climate corporate buyers. It breathes, absorbs moisture and softens with wear. Pair with a lightweight breathable mesh lining to maximise comfort in high temperatures.
Stretch-Poly — Modern Slim Fit
Stretch-poly blends (typically with 2–5% elastane) are growing in demand for younger corporate audiences and hospitality brands that want a modern, athletic silhouette. Popular for airline staff, tech companies and retail brand ambassadors.
Customisation Options
Embroidery
Logo embroidery on the left chest is standard. We accept digitised embroidery files or convert supplied artwork in-house. Embroidery up to 15,000 stitches is included in the unit price for orders over 100 pieces. Sleeve patches, back yoke embroidery and inside-collar branding are available as add-ons.
Custom Lining
The lining is a branding opportunity most buyers underuse. Options include: solid satin in brand colour, striped pattern, full-print custom lining with logo repeat, and flag-of-origin prints for nationality-specific hotel properties. Custom lining typically adds $3–$8 per piece depending on complexity.
Buttons & Trim
Standard polyester buttons in black, navy, gold or silver. Branded buttons — with logo debossed or engraved on metal alloy — are available at a small tooling cost spread across the order. Contrast piping along lapels, cuffs and pocket edges is a clean way to incorporate secondary brand colours.
Sourcing for the USA Market
Import Duty
Custom blazers imported into the USA from India typically attract 13–16% import duty under HTS code 6203. Despite this, the total landed cost remains significantly lower than equivalent garments manufactured in the US or western Europe. Most buyers work with a licensed customs broker for clearance.
Sizing for US Buyers
US corporate buyers use chest sizes (36–52) rather than S/M/L. We produce to US sizing specifications. Pre-production samples are strongly recommended for corporate uniform programmes — this ensures fit consistency across a dispersed team before bulk production begins.
Compliance & Labelling
Fabric is sourced from Oeko-Tex 100 certified mills. CPSC-compliant labelling is available on request. California Proposition 65 labels can be included for shipments to California.
Typical US Order Profile
- Corporate uniform programmes — 200–2,000 pieces, half-canvas, poly-viscose, custom embroidery and lining
- School blazers — 100–500 pieces per school year, poly-wool blend, school crest embroidery
- Event/conference — 50–300 pieces, fused, custom colour, large logo embroidery
- Lead time — 7–14 days production + 5–7 days air freight to US East/West Coast
Sourcing for Dubai & UAE
Climate & Fabric
The biggest difference between sourcing for Dubai versus the US is fabric weight. Standard 260 GSM poly-viscose can be oppressive for an outdoor concierge in Dubai. UAE buyers typically opt for:
- Cotton-linen 180–200 GSM — outdoor-facing and open-lobby roles
- Lightweight poly-viscose 220 GSM with breathable mesh lining — indoor air-conditioned environments
- Moisture-wicking stretch poly — active-facing staff (pool attendants, activity coordinators)
Colour & Aesthetic
Dubai hospitality buyers tend toward richer palettes than western corporate clients. Deep burgundy, bottle green, champagne gold and custom Pantone colours are common. Metallic buttons, gold piping and contrast lining are expected rather than optional on premium hotel liveries.
Shipping to UAE
Air freight from Tirupur to Dubai (DXB) takes 3–5 days. Sea freight via Nhava Sheva to Jebel Ali is 10–14 days. Import duties into UAE for woven outerwear are generally 5% under the GCC common external tariff.
Typical UAE Order Profile
- 5-star hotel livery — 100–500 pieces, half or full-canvas, cotton-linen, branded buttons and custom lining
- Restaurant & F&B — 50–200 pieces, fused or half-canvas, embroidered front logo
- Corporate — 100–300 pieces, poly-viscose 240 GSM, chest embroidery
- Lead time — 7–14 days production + 3–5 days air freight to Dubai

The Production Process
- Enquiry & Specification Share your requirements: type, quantity, fabric preference, colours, logo files and size breakdown. We respond within 24 hours with a price quote and lead time.
- Fabric & Trim Sampling For new buyers, we send a fabric swatch card and trim samples before production begins. This step takes 3–5 days by courier.
- Pre-production Sample A single sewn sample in your spec is produced and sent for approval. Most buyers approve within 1–2 rounds. Changes after bulk production begins are costly — this step protects the entire order.
- Bulk Production Cutting, fusing/canvas work, assembly, button attachment, lining and pressing. 7–14 business days depending on quantity and construction grade.
- Quality Inspection Every garment is checked for seam allowances, embroidery accuracy, button security, symmetry and measurements. We share an inspection report and photos before shipping.
- Shipping Air or sea freight depending on urgency and quantity. Garments are packed flat or on hangers (hanger-pack reduces pressing on arrival).
